I have a Duron 800 (level 1 bridges sorted), Abit KT7 A-Raid Motherboard, Global Win Cooler, 512 mb of 133 mhz SDRAM, Elsa Gforce 2 card with a Blue Orb, Full Tower Case with 5 fans running @ 1000 mhz (100x10) i can get it up to (100x10.5).. 1050 mhz. The CPU runs at 35 c and system temp is 25 c .. However when I try to get higher (increased FSB) the PC boots as normal (105x10.5) untill it gets to Windows 2k Pro start screen at which point it says part of the kernal is missing, Is this a common problem and can anyone elighten me ?

Lower your multiplier to maybe 7 or so, I have a Duron 800 and it wont do anything past 1028mhz, even after burn in.
its just telling you that your cpu is unstable. try upping your voltage to make it more stable.
better yet, you have a kt133a board, so drop your multiplier and hike the fsb up. i.e. 7*143 (if your ram will take it) is much better than 10*100.. but you'd probably still need to play with your voltage to get it stable. you can take your voltage up to 1.85v if you have to, but just watch your temps along the way.

As suggested my multiplier went down and my fsb went up and eventually ended up running at 7.5 x 136. (1020 mhz) cpu temp @ 37 c, system temp 25 c and stable. Oviously you cant have to much of a good thing and looking for more performance went back to the Bios looking for more (dam it why am i so greedy). When rebooting the system it did not POST so i went back to the bios and found that the DRAM clock had changed from the HCLK+PCICLK needed for 133 mhz ram to HOST, ( I have 133 mhz ram )
and this continues to be the case if I now use any FSB other than 100 mhz(which when at this HCLK+PCICLK displays and stays in the bios) if i change the fsb now upon reboot the DRAM clock changes. I have loaded up the defaults and then re-adjuste dthe bios and still no change in the situation, I have also reset the CMOS (dunno why but im desperate) and still no changes.. anyone got any ideas.
Duron 800 @ 1000 mhz (10x100 again) <-- Ohh please come back 133 mhz fsb
