Hi, I just overclocked my 1GHZ AXIA (133*9) :). I have a problem now though, I'm trying to install games like Kingpin and fifa2000 and it stops in the middle of the installation at 70-80%. Sometimes it boots on its own?? Do I need to underclock the comp to install programs ??

Thanks

Sounds like you're a bit unstable. If you get a good stable overclock, you shouldn't have to clock down to install programs. What is you core voltage? You might want to bump it up a bit to increasse stability.

Hey TT120. Vcore is at default (1.75 I think). Should I bump it to 1.775 or 8.0? What do you think?

update:

I bumped the vcore to 1.775. BUT I got a bunch of errors from Radeon Tweaker should I uninstall RT, and install it after?

Thanks.

Thanks.Naww, if you got a good install, say, before you overclocked it, you shouldnt have to uninstall anything. a good stable overclock shouldnt have anything to do with your programs. AMD says the max for your CPU is 1.85 volts but you can go a little highter than that. Try it at 1.85 and see what it does. Watch yer temps tho....raising the voltage raises the temps too.

Hey TT120, I figured it out. The problem was with my damn cd-rom, Some games won't install with DMA anabled I guess. After I disabled DMA, I installed games and apps fine :). Weird stuff!!!!

Thanks for the replies

Cheers.
