Inspired by another thread here i thought someone could help with my win logon screen.I had the problem relating to the q329170 shutdown problem. You know long shutdowns,so i removed the hotfix and problem solved,so i thought. It apperntly reinstalled itself with the auto update function when i installed sp3 it would no longer load my profile,so i typed in admin and set no password and on desk top dragged all my folders into the admin folder.while i got back all my settings and favorites when windows starts it still has my old name typed in and cannot logon,so i have to backspace and type in admin every time i logon. Can this be modified to logon as admin aotumatically somehow without having to change the default logon name and press enter? It would save alot of time for me if i could get it to do this.

Start | Run | Type control userpasswords2 and click OK | In the dialog box that appears, clear the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" check box, and then click OK. :)

Thanks, the box was allready cleared but checking it and unchecking it it gave me a dialog box to enter a new logon name without a password so i can still use my new profile!
That had been so irritating for so long.
Thanks again!
