Just installed a 1GHZ\266fsb Athlon TBird on a
MSI KT7 Pro2-A mobo and its only posting 750mhz. Am i doing something wrong?

I really hate to tell you this...but...your motherboard is a KT133 (200 FSB). That's the problem.

I really hate to tell you this...but...your motherboard is a KT133 (200 FSB). That's the problem.

I was afraid of that. I bought the mobo w case off Ebay.Check the link and tell me if this ad is a little misleading. "266fsb"

The link shows as not available. I have sold the 2A and can guarantee that it's what I said. I'm sorry that you were misled. MSI's system for boards leaves a lot to be desired "2A" could be interperted as KT133A.

I got it to post at 1ghz. i just removed j17 to unlock the bus. Works like a champ.
