Actually, this is a voltage question. In Via monitor I have these voltage values:

Vcore value.......1.86
3.3V...................3.62
5V......................4.93-5.05
12V....................11.65-11.89

In bios I have these voltage settings:

Core voltage....1.825
I/O voltage........3.6

My temps in SSS for Burn-in are:
45C.......w/load
25C.......Idle

The 12V value seems too low to me. If my thinking is correct, what would be the best approach to bring this value up?

Thanks in advance, Scarzo

it seems that your PSU is the problem.
most good brand PSU`s have a ragulated 5v.
but the 12v is unregulated.
so with cheaper PSU`s the more stuff u have hooked up to the psu ,the lower the voltage will get.(250W)
your sys is drawing too much current so that the psu can not supply enough voltage.
u need atleast a good 300W PSU to run a AMD sys.
correct me if i`m wrong ppl.

I agree with GOD even though I do not belive in him :)

If this is your only problem I would not worry to much. However 250Wpsu should be considered absolute minimum for Tbird systems, and good 300 W recommendet

I'll go that one further. With a core voltage of 1.85, on a Tbird, a 300W PSU is minimum and a 400W would be a better choice.

The 12V gets its regulation from the same PWM that drives the +5. When current demand on the +5 increases and the PWM duty cycle increases, the 12V will actually go up.

hoot, you're quite into your psus... are the enermax psus worth the money...?

i like my enermax 350 walts psu.......
i had a 300 walt b4 and it blew up b/c i flipped the voltage switch from 220v to 115v while i live in a 220v area
i burned my mobo with it but cpu still ok....

I've never touched an Enermax, but by far, that name is the one that comes up more than any other in OC discussions. Given that widespread acceptance, I would wager that they are a good PSU value. I've worked with switching supplies since the early 80s.

a 450W enermax will run you $100, a 600 watt can be found for $150- in mho these are the best value psu available
