Why is BootVis.exe no longer avalible?

Sorry wasnt thinking straight, Its unavailable @ miscrosoft.com the tools. Maybe for update.

bootvis is a program for speeding up boot times etc. i have it still, just havent tried downloading it recently.

I don't know why it wouldn't be there... You should be able to find other sites hosting it. That's how I found it :)

Though for some reason BootVis never works for me... Tried it on both my XP boxes, and neither will have it come back after the trace boot to optimize like it says.

The last time I used bootvis it changed the file associations for a bunch of files on my computer. When I would click on them bootvis would load up. It was pretty nasty. Had to uninstall it.

...also, just in case you didn't know, any system changes made by BootVis are irreversible. The program itself can work wonders afa decreasing bootup time, but I'd recommend creating a restore point before using it for the first time. :)

ok i will do that, so by setting that restore point it will be like i never installed bootvis if i need to go back?
