i find the iceberg cooling kit i got a complete waste. i ended up buying a dangerden maze 4 water block and now im getting a copper radiator. I saw one that the perfect one for my computer. Black Ice Micro2 80mm.
This fits perfectly on the 2 80mm fan holes i have on the back of my case. Everywhere i look its sold out or really expensive. Anyone know a site that isnt sold out at the moment or is cheaper than 64$?

I got mine from Directron. Not sure if they're still in stock, but they had the best prices on those rads.
here is the Black Ice Micro for $44 at Dangerden (http://www.dangerden.com/mall/Radiators/radiators.asp). There is also a elongated version of it for $64 I assume that is the one you are reffering to in your post?

What case are you using? If it all possible, a heatercore would be much better. Modding is nothing to be afraid of. :D

A heatercore is the radiator that heats up the inside of your car. The Black Ice series of radiators are basically small heatercores designed to easily fit in your pc case. Heatercores perform better than the Black Ice radiators because they have more cooling area.
Here's a pic of a popular model:

This one can be found for about $20 at autoparts stores.

oh yea, i saw a couple of those but wasnt interested. i didnt know how i would put a fan on it and such. wouldnt i need a shroud or something? But this black ice will do it for me. anything is better than the iceberg radiator.

A shroud is helpful on any radiator, the Black Ice included. Dtekcustoms sells pre-setup heatercores with shrouds.
IMO, the black ice radiators are way too pricey.
Read up and do a little research before jumping into watercooling. You'll be more satisfied in the end rather then getting another "iceberg." BTW, are you using a copper wb with the aluminum iceberg rad?

If I may direct you to my other post: http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=227886&pagenumber=2
Its realy easy to attach a fan. If you want details on this project feel free to PM me.

what i meant was putting a fan on a heatercore without a shroud.
I never said you were dumb, just looking out for the well being of your rig ;) If no one pointed things like that out there may be more disaster threads

You sound like you have already made up your mind, the guys above are really stirring you towards the right staff. If you go to Autozone you can get a nice $15.00 heatercore that is more powerful than that radiator you are going to buy for almost $60.00, you can modify it and if you need to make a shround follw this link http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=189327 and you will save a bundle. Well if you have a bigger budget then thats another story, but still you are better off with more performance and extra change:D

im not trying to go through the whole corossion mess. unless a heatercore comes in copper, there is a low chance of me getting it. i just want to install something and let it be

i finished looking at that thread an another thing is that i dont have that much space for something that wide
Yawn.
Black ice radiators ARE heatercores. Auto heatercore of the same dimensions WILL NOT perform any better than the black ice, or the generic heatercores sold at dangerden, etc..
There is nothing magical about an auto heatercore.
Now, the black ice micro specifically is small, and so won't cool as effectively as a larger heatercore.
Black ice extreme double wides will outperform most small auto heatercores.
NOW, the auto heatercore is generally the cheapest per cooling unit, BUT, some may take some modding.
Question is how valuable is your time / comfortable with your work are you?

$48, heatercore, shroud, and fan, big, will cool better than many auto heatercores, same size barbs, all ready to go. NO, car heatercore is not that much cheaper once you add in fan and shroud.
I also like the idea of supporting those companies that cater to the computer hobbyist.
Good luck!

ive noticed that, and the thing is that i got the micro2 because i have 2 80mm fan holes on the back of my case and adding that radiator and 4 80mm fans is the most i can do with my case.

About the shroud thing, just get an empty box of cereal and cut a large square out about the width/height of your fans plus maybe 7 or 8 cm (for the sides) then cut a hole in the middle for the fan vent. A bit of strategic folding and cutting later, with some sticky tape and you'll have a free shroud! You can always spray it a different colour too; if you don't show off your PC innards to people then it'll work fine ;)
