View Full Version : HELP Power supply problem! NEED A NEW PS RECOMMENDATION!
Ok well I got my new AXIA in a few days ago, and I used it for a night and everything was working fine. I ran 100 loops of 3dmark 2000 over the night, and started to run sisoft sandra burn-in wizard when I woke up. When I came home from school my monitor was off and now the PC will not turn on again, I tested all the parts, and determined my 300W antec power supply is dead!
OK so I need a new power supply, I want to spend between $50-$100. The less the better. Which PS should I go with, thanks for any suggestions! I was thinking possibly the Antec 400W which is $75, let me know thanks!

I recommend an Enermax. For a few dollars more than the Antec you can get a 430W.

K where do you purchase them from?

Aaron, I am using the Antec 400W unit. It works very good and the quality is as good as can be expected for a PC PSU.
Hoot
I was gonna recommend an Enermax 431 but if Hoot says Antec then I would go with that. Hoot knows what he's talking about.
Enermax is the one that everybody here talks about as being the best. I went with an (I have 2 of them) Antec 400 also and it has been working great, the reason is it's available locally an Enermax would have to be orderd.

The Antec is propably better in your case, as it's available locally.
Otherwise a few dollars for 30W isn't bad.
