This has been probably been asked before, but anyways, here it goes.

I'm looking for a message board script with the follwing parameters:
-Free
-Utilizes html or Java
-User accounts
-No popups, adds on top and bottom of page are fine.
-Adjustable colours if possible.

I'm not looking for a message board service, and want this to be on my server space.

I made the post two times, the first I pressed the back button on my mouse, so I didnt mention that my server is very limited. Will this board run on most server space provided by ISP's?

phpBB requires the hosting server to support PHP and you must have a MySQL database available, preferably on the same server, and your own database to store all forum data. I don't think most ISPs provide users with PHP or MySQL access on their free webspace.

Thanks :), I'll be sure to note if any problems arise.

There's a couple of message board scripts to choose from over here (http://www.cgi-resources.com/Programs_and_Scripts/Perl/Bulletin_Board_Message_Systems/). Here's one (http://hot-things.net/htedbs.php) that just uses php.

phbb seems to be working fine on my server, I changed the permissions to certain files as told, but when i go to install.php, it shows up as a html text, not the way it should be. It should be a form to sign up to phbb. Does anyone know what is going on :(.

Damn, well anyways. Has anyone heard of StagHosting at www.staghosting.com (http://www.staghosting.com)? You get 200mb of server space, 2gb of bandwidth and support to most script languages. All you need is a real domain, no free or subdomains.
