View Full Version : Serial Numbers
hey, i'v got two 1.2 gig t-birds and i'm going to sell one of them to a friend.
i'v read some stuff about people saying things about serial numbers and how some are better than others.
when i sell one of the 1.2's i hope to keep the best one, or are all of them the same
here are the numbers.
A1200AMS3B
AVIA0111RPGW
Y6133650670
and the other one
A1200AMS3B
AXIA0107RPCW

Thanx heaps for any help :)
I'd keep the AXIA one but the AVIA is no slouch either. I had and AVIA 1200 that would do 1400 pretty easily. AXIA chips are generally thought to be the best for overclocking.

AXIA chips are good overclockers.
I think that they are both good chips. I'd personally keep the first one (gut instinct).
Well from what i have been Reading from everybody the cpus with the
AXIA code seem to be the best for overclocking. So if it were me i would hang on to that one

Speaking from experience keep the AXIA. I got 1.4 first O/C and been going up ever since.
Why don't you pump them both up and see which one does better?
The AXIA chips have been purported to overclock better.

I'm with everyone else, pretty much. My gut would say to keep the AXIA. But AVIA's are a pretty close stepping and I agree with Frank about testing them to see which goes higher. I'd say you'd be doing nothing wrong to test them and keep the better of the two. If your friend is not going to be overclocking, this is especially true.

the axias are better overclockers. that's why there's this craze to get hold of them... but tesiting them both is still a sound plan.
