I have a TBird 1 GHZ (AXIA), I would like to overclock it. My A7V133 bios says my CPU tempreture is 43C. It seems pretty high. What can I do. I am using a FOP38 fan.
Please guys I need help ?

That does seem high. What is your ambient temperature and case cooling? You do have thermal compound on there right?

What do u mean by "ambient temperature" ?
room temp.....
and that is really high for a non oced chip...
did u check that the hsf is on properlly????
thermal paste????(did u use it???)
what voltage did u set it to????
do u have any case fans installed????
mines doing 45degC ,and that`s with 1.825v on 1.523gig.(the temp is bit too high for my taste but atleast it`s stable).
GOD...
GOD....
I am going to assume you have your h/f installed right and have removed the thermal pad from the sink 100% and are using grease.
Check your temps in the bios sometimes the moitoring programs are off a bit.
I have 2 Abit KT7A-R's and Asus A7V and a A7V133. With the same cpu/heatsink tested in all 4 boards the 2 Asus boards showed about 10C higher temps then the Abit boards. Abit has a thermistor that can be bent up to touch the bottom of the cpu. Asus's thermistor is on the bottom of the socket so what you are really reading is the air temp of the socket plus heat from the motherboard. Asus temps can be very misleading, they should do something about it.
If your system is stable try to OC a little bit at a time and see how if effects the temp/stability. You are going to have to go by feel a little bit on this one.

I 've had the sam Problem!!
After installing all the new Hardware i got about 40°C in Bios and in W98 upto 67°C at Load!!!
Now i just got a new Case, better Air Cooling and Arctic Silver II and i got 59°C with this Asus Thermal Probe!!
But i installed a second Probe right beside the Die to see whats the Temp there! At the Moment i got 59°C from Asus and 48°C from my Probe!! So Asus is doing not quite well with their thermal doings... :-(

ferromoon, are u overclocking ?
I am going to buy a thermomiter to measure the room tempreture. Should I use thermal paste or tape.
Thanks
The paste is better than the tape, but if u want the best u should get some Artic Silver 2.
