I got a 1082 on 3dmark (shouldnt my setup be better than that?).. Could I get a higher score by adding more ram?

that sounds about right for that ati 9000...and 3dmark2003..
you're gonna need a 9500, 9700, 9800 to get a lot better
also that celeron isn't a very strong processor, desite the clockspeed because of the super small cache

the 2 biggest things to affect 3dmark is ofcourse the cpu and vid card,,,, your celeron cpu is holding you back, but it's not your main concern...
the radeon you have doesn't support dx9, and 3dmark03 is alot of dx9 so your vid card can not even support the software in the first place.... second the radeon 9000 is kinda slow anyway..
so the fastest way to up that # would be to get a new vid card that is atleast a radeon 9500 + so it can support dx9..

Thats about right, my highest has been 1250 on a 9000 with a northwood @ 1.4ghz.

Your processor is basically useless in 3dmark03. Well atleast for the game tests. 3dmark03 is basically nothing more than a Video card benchmark. Use 3dmark01 if you want to know overall system performance.

Dang people.. I hit 900 with an athlon 1700+ 256mb DDR, and a Ti4200... Hmm.. I would say the CPU has a lil to do with the score... Last I checked the ti4200 whomps the 9000... :eh?:
Iam getting 13553dmarks with my main computer (in sig) The vid card was not oced tho! (and the cpu was only at 2.08Ghz) I did up the cpu a little tho to 2.3Ghz but ended up getting a lower score! lol! so the extra 200Mhz didn't do much! lol!
Oh and yeh the 9000pros aren't the best! lol!
