i have a 2000+ and i was wandering if sombody could help me over clock it
i am a newbie at over clocking so i only got it to 1866.542 mhz but i heard somebody has goten theres to 2400 mhz but i don't know if i can go to high cause i only have fans and i don't want it to overheat

There are three different 2000+s.
Only T-Bred B can hit 2.3 on average.

You need to look at the code to see which one you have.
Codes: http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=222237

Then read your mobo manual & this:

Good luck.

Try http://www.aida32.hu/aida-features.php?bit=32
Go to Download, get it it & Start it
Go to where it says motherboard > CPU.

Do you have any idea how expensive water cooling is?

You have PC2700.
That's good between 166 FSB and 180ish maybe.

Multiplier would depend on what's available on your mobo and if you have a Thoroughbred B or not.

i can't use that program because i use linux

on my mobo i can get
fsb 100 - 180
multiplyier up to 14X
voltage up to 1.750

i think thats right

I hate to break this to you but......

El Suxsor biggo time'o'

... do you have and extra HD that you can load at least win98?
if so, do so... however...
How long ago did you purchase your CPU? If it's been more than 6months to over a year, you most likely have the early version of the Palomino XP's... which is why you will not reach the upper scales of 2GHz... If you're still using the stocked heatsink... pwr down your system, take it off, pull out your cpu, clean off the dust and thermal paste, then you should be able to read out what type of stepping of cpu that you have...

if not...
Get xp1700 JIUHB (GameVE.com and ExcaliburPC.com) from these folks. Get better mobo that handles the 200FSB....(nforce2 board)
reload Linux OS, and wankypanky your cpu's speed aways!
