Hye guys im getting a MSI K7N2 Delta-L (nforce2 chipset) motherboard http://www.msicomputer.com/product/detail_spec/product_detail.asp?model=K7N2_Delta-L for a freind and have a question about the RAM. Now ive heard all this stuff about "dual channel" ram with 2 ram sticks and all but do I need to use it for this board? Like can I just put a stick of 512MB CORSAIR MEMORY XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series 512MB 64M x 64 PC-3200C2 RAM on the board with no problems like I would normally for any other board? THanks!
yes you'll be able to just use one stick with out any problems.

You can use one stick, but it would be a waste.

It wouldn't be that much of a waste. The benefits of dual channel on an AMD board isn't great. That's a nice chunk of memory. If you want you can always put in another stick down the road.

do the two sticks have to be the same for dual channel to work?
like would 512 and 64 work?

no. They have to be the same size, same timings etc. Using a PC2700 and a PC3200 would more than likely not work in Dual Channel, but if you bought two 256MB's at the same time, (or buy them in a twinpack made for dual channel) then they definitely will work in DC.
