Alright, I am down right angry.

Why is it that vendors feel the need to charge so much for shipping fans?

I have been searching for almost 3 weeks to find a vendor that has those evercool 120mm fans in stock and less than $10. This is about all I am willing to pay for it - call me cheap ;)

Anyway, so I finally found this really good deal (at least I thought so) from Xoxide where they have these in stock (after two weeks of no stock) for $8.99!! What a deal I say to myself. Only then to add 4 to my shopping cart and find that there is a $10.14 fee for standard (USPS) shipping!

Now I know that these are 120mm fans, but for the love of pete, why is must it be so hard to order fans?

Even newegg isn't that great in this regard when you have to pay $5 to ship a $10 fan.

When will we ever get pricing for what the weight of the box is and not just what the value of what is in the box?

LOL, Reality check in aisle 3 :)

Seriously, these vendors need to deliver the items and deliver them in a way to PROVE that they shipped the item.

The Cheapest way that I know of is USPS Priority mail, this costs $3.95 (But Vendors want the mailman to come pick up the items, hense we move on to FEDEX and UPS as the mailman isnt going to Shlep 1000 packages a day from each vendor, the vendor has to go to the Post office if they want to use the USPS)

Now many vendors want not only tracking but insurance as well, so the cost goes up, I think Newegg does a GREAT job charging as little as possible, considering they use Fedex 3 day

I think your gripe is with the Mailman, Fedex and UPS, but its not the vendors fault that it costs more than a dollar for shipping.

Shipping isnt cheap, I mailed an Xbox today with a tracking number USPS and it was $22.50

That may be, but seriously it is just a box. I guess it is all about margins and that is how sites like Newegg can offer free shipping on just about anything that isn't a case and is over $20 or so. I just don't see why this can't apply to the order in aggregate. Like having discounted shipping on orders over $X or something.

Maybe I was just in a mood or something, but it was really dissappointing to have shipping make my order "4 for the price of 5". Sorry for the tirade, but I warned you first ;)

Well when you use UPS/Fedex even if its just one fan you pay for a 1lb package... If it weighs 4oz you pay for 1lb.
