View Full Version : Tbird 1..33@ 2.1!?!?!?!
I read on this german website about a guy who o/c ed his tbird 1.33 to 2.1 is this possible or was he lying?
I've seen some japanese sites that claim the same thing using liquid nitrogen. I dunno whether to believe them or not. If it is true, I wonder how stable it is and how long it would last at those temps and speed.

possible yes, ive seen pics also or screenshots of a 1.33AXIA at 2.8GIG-using Nitrogen Cooling-maybe it was real maybe it was doctored?
From what I've read and seen, those things are probably true, but the expense and nuisance of cooling with liquid nitrogen make it not remotely worth the trouble.

if it is true that they got them that high, my question is, how long will they last before burning up?

not very long.. the japanese are into flash overclocking, in which the cpu only lasts a short while at a very high speed before dying.
yeh usally it only lasts for about one successfull load to windows and it cracks due to the massive thermal stress.(+ -200degC).
that was said by one of the H.oda`s forum members.
GOD....
post is one thing, stability is another. I have POSTED at 1.8 and crashed pretty damned quickly thereafter, 1.65 was the best I can get water/pelt cooled
I was able to get my system to boot at 1610 but it crashed shortly thereafter. It sure did look nice when it booted at that speed though.

Those guys are just jiving! You can't possibly get 2.1 gigs out of a 1.33..but there will always be braggarts and liars! One question though...how much can one realistically squeeze out of an 1.33 AXIA without having to doctor the mobo..that's to say only with fans, heat sinks, bios and the laid out maximum 1.85v Vcore?
