I just did a duct mod to my cpu with a dryer 4" alluminum duct wrapped in duct tape and it dropped my cpu temps by 4 degrees with a weak 23cfm fan blowing into the duct. However, my northbridge went from 35C to 40C. Is this really bad? What's safe? I have a crystal orb on it too (8rDA+). All help is appreciated!

I have never read what a safe operating temp. for the Northbridge is but it is a small processor so it can't go too mhigh but I would say anything up to 45c is very safe.

Thank You,
Daniel

Run another smaller duct to your northbridge. Cut a window in the side of your case or if you already do then vuala. I'm sure it already looks like a hvac nightmare, 1 more wouldn't make it look any more odd.
