Lately I've been trying to burn CD's and the drive keeps burning things REALLY really slow. At 52X when I first got this puppy, it would spit out cd's in less than 2:35ish. Now it takes more than 6 minutes at that speed! What's going on?

The only thing that may have happened between these times is that I formatted my computer. Do I have to turn on some option like UDMA or somethin?

I have like 120gigs of anime to burn - otaku's help!!

If its in PIO mode it has to use the CPU not a DMA channel. This is usually due to disk read errors. Maybe this one will help some more. Good luck.

When i fist got my burner, which was a couple of days ago, it was working at like 10x, on a 52x burner. I went into device manager, and checked that it was on dma mode. I changed it to "use dma if available". I will have to try it again to see if it helped at all. Oh, and my media is "pioneer cd-r 32x".
