I am aiming for a dead silent watercooling setup again. And was thinking of getting a Lianli70 case and putting a 2x120mm sised heatercore right in front of the PSU for the exiting air to cool the PSU heatsinks: thus, allowing me to have only 2 low spinning 120mm fans in the whole case. The second PSU is intended for a pelt by the way. What do you guys think about that idea ?

It should work okay, if you make a shroud between the heatercore and the power supplies, and remove as much material from the front and back of the power supply case as possible.

I agree with Giblet Plus!, I actually have some of the air from my rad going by my PSU with no problems, just make sure you cut out some of the grill on the back.

He meant 2X120mm sized I think.

LOL exactly! English is not my first language, so I am still prone to making mistakes like that. Anyways, I actually wanted to leave as much stuff intact as possible. Do you think there would be serious airflow restrictions if I don't make extra opennings in my PSU's ?

add 1 120mm fan but run it at 7v ( in pull config) the psu wont pull enough air to be really effective and you will notice a huge performance hit. using an aluminum 120mm fan on 7 volts is very quiet and you can probly get away with 5volts. i have my heatercore mounted to the top of my case ( 2x 120mm plus 2 shrouds on my dtek pro core) THE BEAST (http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=221241&perpage=50&pagenumber=1) OR PROJECT:THE BEAST (http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39211)

My old water cooling system bugged out a little bit and began to have a slow leak on my vacation, then i made the mistake of puting a little H2O2 in my system and everything bubled up

ANyways, I decided i wanted to try not overclocking my system and just running it silent, without anthing to drastic.

Right now my watercooling system cools the following.

7200rpm harddrive
athlon 1800+ 1.8v
geforce 4 4400 600 core
Nforce2 northbridge
maxijet 1200

IM using a chevette heatercore and 300watt powersupply.

The powersupply is moded to use only a 120 vantec stealth 28DB.

so the only fan i use is the vantec stealth on the PS

My heatercore feels look warm, my cpu temp is all the way at 48C fulll load but i think thats because of bad mouting on the block

Nice setup. I al looking to do the same. However I think there should be a fan blowing onto PSU heatsinks at all times, because I already fried my 450W Enermax by moving the nearest fan 10 cm away from it
