a7n266-e & 1800+ palomino. will the wire in socket trick work???

I have an AMD 1800+ XP Palomino in an A7N266-E MOBO. I can't unlock the L1 Bridges, i messed up and cut the surface near the points. I was just reading today and saw the wire trick method. will it work for me??? what do you think?

What wire trick are you referring to? I dont think I have ever seen a wire trick which corresponds to closing all the L1's on the pally.

wire trick on bottom of CPU tying 2 pins together,,, or inserted into 2 pin holes on ZIF Socket. (Socket A 462)

Yes, you can. You can't just use two pins, though. You have to insert 5 pins to take care of all the bridges.
