I am starting to plan my move to Phase-change cooling. At the mo I am looking at getting a cheap fridge system, and draining it and replacing the evaporator with one designed specifically for cooling CPU's, and then recharge the system with the best coolant available.
My main question is where can I get such an evaporator? Will I need to get one specially made (Copper stock milled and sealed by brazing)? Or is there a place where you can buy them, like with waterblocks for watercooling?

I dont think anyone makes them commercially but you can buy one off a guy on the forums at www.phase-change.com. Dunno how much he wants but he makes them for sale. I asked about using a prometia one in a custom system and as far as I remember someone asid you could do it but you should check. If you can use them they are available to buy seperate.

well baker18 is selling his block for $100, his threads can be found in xtremesystems.org, and phase-change.com,
also you can make your own too, get some metals of onlinemetals.com, I just ordered some cooper for 50 bucks enought to make three blocks, they can be done very easily with a drill,
oh well, good luck:D

Guys,
My evaps will be commercially available soon. Will keep you posted.
Check this thread out: Dual Evap System. Look at Bowman's Mod Shop. He has a triple evap going. Both systems using my evaps.

What kind of a compressor is that? Or did you buy a standalone vapochill?

I'd doubt they're full load temps, as the monitor shows he's installing windows 2K (and at the very beginning of the install).
****in great to have gotten it all into a case, even better then prommy or vapo as their cases are actually cases with added on compartments making them bigger then normal cases.

well guys been very busy lately,
about compressor, its a fridge, between 1/4-1/3, LRA30, vapos or promiss can't handle two evaportors, they are like 1/5, too low
and those temps are just when I set her up, I'm getting -22c on both loaded with 2.4c@3700 with 1.65 volts,
and about weight, I will buys a scale, but its not that heavy
