game crashes on 9800 pro!?!??!

used to have ti 4200. all games worked perfectly fine(stability wise, not graphic wise). upgraded to 9800 pro.

currently, all games work perfect and look beautiful.

one problem:

colin mcrae rally 2.0 crashes after about 5 minutes of play. lowest graphic settings. card is not hot at all. latest catlyst driver. no patches available for colin mcrae 2.0.

all games (bf1942, morrowind, ut2003, splinter cell, etc.) work P_E_R_F_E_C_T_L_Y fine except for colin mcrae.

any ideas???
anyone else have colin mcrae rally 2.0 that are having the same problem regardless of video card?

this happened to me with morrowind, try older drivers (yea sounds crazy but it worked for me)

I have CMR 2.0 on a 9800 np and it work fine. There are 2 patches. One is a language patch and one addresses a few bugs. The only problem is the game runs perfectly untill I install the patch that is suposed to fix bugs. Pretty strange, because it won't even initialize.

Not sure where the language patch is, but you can probably get it at the official site.


And I'll bet old remaining NV drivers are your problem like Aqrhine said.
