no one knows.. its all about luck.. im sure there are alot of cpus that are oced to very high speeds that arnt even mentioned on forums

Well more precisely all Thouroughbred B's and all Bartons average 2.3 GHz.

2.5 GHz is rare. 2.4 GHz is less rare.

In addition to luck, other factors namely the rest of your setup will influence your highest stable overclock.

2800/2500 same thing, you won't go far past 2.3. I can get to 2.4 with my 2800 but it takes water and 2 volts. Save money and buy a 2500, I should have.

see my sig i run that all day .....with seti going 24/7

but dont think that a xp 2800 is better than a xp 2500...

it is better and cheaper to buy a xp2500 ......thats when the cache size changed to 512 mb....and they will overclock to the same limit ......

on air 2400mhz is as much as what you are going to get .....no matter what athlon !

on say vapo chill you will get say 2700mhz ............

on ln2 (liquid nitrogen ) you might reach 3.3ghz but for how long ?! ............and how much !!!
