I finally replaced my crappy, old coolermaster with a cheap standard FOP32-1 which lowered the load temp about 6-7degrees C. (9X103=927MHz at 1.91 volt 42C under load) After that, I did the voltmod and got 1000 MHz (10X100) at 2.12 volt, 46C under load. My mobo is a MSI k7t pro2, which isn´t that good (kt133). I guess the next step is to try out my peltier and see what it can do to the temperature. I would really like it to be under 40C.

By the way, do you experts out there know, how much an upgrade to the 38 cfm (poor ears)fan would do to the temp? (and maybe lapping?)
Why wasted money on the new HSF. I have those crappy cooler master dp5- 6h51 and simply removed the sissy Fan, replaced with a Sanyo denki 80x80 29dba, 2900 rpm and 36.5 cfm. The fan worked wonderful and very quiet, I had a 800 duron @ 7.5x140= 1050mhz with that modified HSF, running all the time in my bedroom and noise is no problem at all :-) The beauty is it is easy on the money and also the CPU temp is very pleasant, 21-29C idle and 31-39C under prime95 load. Why go crazy for the hype and unnecessary fancy stuffs while the KISS is almost always works. I now have those cheapo crappy dp5 6h51, $10, on every single CPU I have in hands with a big smile for the cost/performance. BTW, I don't work for cooler master though, just enjoy the cheapo that works wonder. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Hey, that sounds nice, but seriously, I still think you´re sponsored by CoolerMaster
No way buddy, I just simply can not afford to waste my hard earn cash :-) :-) :-)

LOL! yeah I got a wbk38-1 for 22 bucks and I am happy with it. cheap but works great. case cooling adds a lot and I bet tim doesn't skimp there hence his good cooling with low end HSF.
Nice overclock but have you tried 7.5x133? just wondering how it would do.

No way I could do that with this mobo (via kt133, not 133a)
I set KT133 MB (ABIT) at 120 MHz, run Duron 700 @ 840... I have this computer at work, so no experiments with L1 etc... about 124 it started to loose stability... so you can try 118*8.5 it is about 1 GHz...

Well, the problem is that I can't set the FSB higher than 105-107. Any higher causes instability and crashes. I guess I could try 9.5X105=998MHz, which would certainly be faster than 10X100 but the main thing is that I still need a bit more cooling. Lapping?

42C...that's not too bad...congrats. However, I start to get flakly when the temp approach 40C.... :)
If you take the time to vary the effectiveness of your HSF by slowing or speeding up the fan, you will find every setup has a few temperature thresholds, which, when passed, cause an OC to become unstable. For example, on my system, I can run 10x150 until the core temperature passes 30.5C. At that point Prime95 Torture fails. I can then, drop back to 10x145. When the core temperature passes 37.5, it falls out of Prime95 Torture. I can then drop back to 10x140. When my core temp passes 43.5, that falls out of Prime95 Torture. 10x133 runs solid up to 50C, which all I would ever allow my core to run at. So, I try to keep my core temperature as low as possible. It really does make a difference in how far you can OC.
