Winbond is probably the best of the four. What's the system he's going to be using it in? Depending on the system, he might just get the cheapest ram, but if money doesn't matter, then stick with Winbond.
so this one looks good?

(not that im going to buy it from there... just using it as a reference as its the same size/speed as the one in the store)
hes getting an epox 8RDA+ 2500+ barton with it..... i might overclock it for him, if memory allows it
you think the memory would let me get to 200 fsb ROCK STABLE?

It will probably run at 200fsb. If you can examine the ram before you buy it, check if the chips are BH-5 or not and try to get the ram with BH-5 chips. BH-5 chips usually run at 200fsb with timings 2-2-2-6 (it what Mushkin (http://www.mushkin.com/epages/Mushkin.storefront/3f5a54c20301ad9a273fc0a8010505eb/Product/View/990990) sells as it high performance PC3200). If the chips are CH-5 or something else, they might not get you that high, but it's not a 100% guarantee that BH-5 would ran that high either. BH-5 has just had a much better track record of running at that speed and higher (some have gotten to 220fsb with timings at 2-2-2-6).
aight, ill ask him when hes going to buy the stuff so i can go with him and point that out
thanks everyone!

quick question... sorry to intrude on thread... but where on the memory module would it say if its BH-5?

CH-5 chips will get you to 200MHz with decent timings. And it will allow for a basic overclock above that. If this wasn't the case, then Corsair, Kingston, OCZ, and all the other memory makers would be outta business, as all their PC3200 now use them. The WinBond CH-5 chips are just not as capable for overclocking or running at lowest-timings as the BH-5's.
I see.....
btw thanks alot for recommending the 561 case from directron... havent had a chance to say thanks :)
