i had my machine @ 155 fsb w/relaxed mem settings ( 2.5/6/3/3 ) and was folding just fine. my system really likes to be @ 150 fsb w/spd mem timings ( 2/5/2/2/ )... not so stable @ 155. BUT, i decided to test out F@H at this speed ( maybe its not so tortureous as prime95, me thought )... all was running great... had 2 instances blazing away... surfing the boards, usuing the machine like usual, no crashing! great, me thinks... THEN >>>

all of a sudden, got this error: Client-core communications error: ERROR 0xc0000005
[13:46:04] Deleting current work unit & continuing...

now, this means 2 things ( maybe )
1. all that work is lost, right? :(
2. it got the error cuz i was OCed past my "stable" point. ( or is it a client issue only and not the OC??? )

anyone gots some thoughts? tia

It looks like whats hapened is the machine isnt 100% stable F@H has detected it in the fact that the Wu hasnt been processing correctly so its got rid of it downloaded another and tried again.

Just so you know folding is actually a lot harder than Prime on a system, to fold the system needs to be 100% stable especially if you are folding gromacs with SSE forced on. So this makes folding a great tool for checking that the OC is stable.....

Try increasing your voltage to the processor, that will usually help yuor stability.

i had the voltage @ 1.65v for the cpu and 2.8v for the memory... still aint enough i guess :( ...

You may want to try asking in the intel section but id say its probably more the vcore than the memory voltage that may need increasing, either that or its a heat problem what are the temps like?
