How do I check the UDMA mode for my HD in Windows 98??

No, you don't: just go to device manager and look at the *individual disk*, not the controller like on 2k/XP. There should be a checkbox that says, "DMA". Check it.

Okay but that won't tell me what UDMA mode the drive is running at!
