View Full Version : My Ti4200
So, I've got 7th place in the ORB as far as people with Athlons and Ti4200's go. But I want the top spot!

My memory timings are at 7 3 3 2. Video card speeds are 285/615, and won't go higher. It's stock cooling with a Tornado blowing over it.
What can I do to get higher speeds from my card? Would replacing the HSF on it with a stock 2500+ HSF help it? What about ramsinks?
Thanks!

well first of all if u want that top spot u are going to have to fight me for it cause im setting my eyes on it now, even though i only got 14323 i will be able to break 15k easy with decent RAM since im only using OEM crap.. anyways i added some extra cooling for my video card today and it work great i used the default cooler from my 2000+ and just zip tied it on to the card and i got a temp drop from 53c to 31c WOW!! what a difference it made i also chop up some old heatsinks and put them on the RAM and doing this gave me an extra 20/35mhz on my clock speeds without any artifacts or tearing. i think the 2500+ deafault cooler is a little too heavy though so get something thats a little lighter or if u wanna use the 2500 HSF attach it with screwes/bolts or something better than zip ties
Just a reminder guys, when you do a project search on ORB, you need to search for All CPU, not just Athlon. ORB can't see AMD cpu correctly, so those insanely clocked Duron and Unknown are AMD XP too;)

yeah i have realised this now unfortunatly but hey let me have my 15 minutes as #1 for athlons/TI4200 even if i am 3k of the score im doing allright for not having a insane P4 with LN2 cooling or crazy prometia and also no mods at all

Your score is actually quite good for an aircooled/non-vmodd rig;)
