View Full Version : Win2K Service pack SlipStream question
Im thinking of integrating (slipstream) Service pack 1-4 into my Windows 2000 CD.
I already know how to SlipStream, but the question I have is, do I have to download all the Service Pack from 1 to 4 and SlipStream them all or just getting SP4 and SlipStream it will be the update it needs?
I mean Service Pack 4 already has all the updates of the previous packs right?

Yup, SP4 has all of the service packs before it included, so you need only to slipstream SP4.

Or SP3, if SP4 hates your computer.
Like me
Slipstreaming integrates the SP install into the OS CD install. It eliminates the need to load SPs after loading the OS and can be combined on a bootable CD.

What is SlipStream?
the process if combing an OS with patches and/or service packs in the installation so it installs with the patches installed. making it so you ont have to run windows update every time. though I personally dont know how to do it, you might check M$ website for more info on it.

Is it possible to slipstream hotfixes aswell? --> the MSBlaster hotfix?
