I just bought a 1700+ DLT3C. I've gotten it to the max my mobo can go. I need a new one. I don't want to spend very much at all if I can help it. I prefer ASUS and Abit. I have $100 to spend on the mobo. What should I get. I don't care for built in sound or LAN or Raid. I just need a good ocing mobo. I don't care about USB2 or Firewire either. Thanx.

Well, the A7N8X Deluxe is a pretty good O/C'r if I remember right...there was just a mod you needed to do to it for better potential...I think it was a vdd mod..

$69 refurb at newegg (that is only the mobo, absolutely nothing else)

$125 bux for the retail version :\

Also a good thing to do if you are looking to save money is to watch the newegg.com referbs. They usually have some good Abit boards in there for under $100.

Hello All, Also check out www.excaliberpc.com who are a direct retailer of Abits refurbs, you will always get the complete retail bundle and a 1 year warranty which NewEgg doesn't offer. Make sure you check out some of the new nForce2 400 single channel boards if you're looking for cheap OCing, the Soltek was reviewed recently over at Anandtech, 235FSB with a Barton 2500+. $76.00 delivered at NewEgg currently. 256mb Buffalo PC3200 with Winbond CH-5 chips are a good buy these days as well @ $45.00/stick. Good Luck!

id say go epox if you're being cheap but want good features...but for about 10 more bucks you can go quality and get an abit nf7-s 2.0 at excaliberpc.com. they have a good sale going with great shipping (5 bucks for 2nd day air). If you want a whole bunch of ports in the back, spend 10 more bucks for an Asus a7n8x deluxe 2.0. 2 Lans, 4 USB, 5.1 sound, and 2 Firewire i believe. Doesnt overclock as well as the Abit but still very high quality board.
