Should the L2 cache memory be
set to On or Off in the Bios?
Seems it doesn't matter either way! (1000c 266/axia)

I would set it to ON. You'll get better performance that way.

Obviously the L2 cache should be on however ECC is not really nessecary & slightly hinders performance...

ecc may help overclocking because the "e" and the "c" stand for Error Correction. In Quake3 enabling ecc only lowers fps by .3

this used to be quite a common question.. dunno why it's not anymore... anyway, set it on. there's a tiny, negligable performance hit, but a notable (in many cases at least) stability bonus.
