I don't think the A64 3200+ will be much more expensive than the Barton 3200+; I think AMD still wants its PR value to make a tiny bit of sense. My guess is about $400-$500.

BTW cheesy, that link you gave didn't even mention which a64 it is.

Does anyone know where I can view or review stats on the mobo's that will be supporting this new CPU. I tend to like ASUS. BUT other MOBO's are very welcome.

Reseller prices of Opteron, cant say retail because I haven't bought any yet :):

Opteron 240 1.4G - 268.00 US - 2 versions support duel cpu
Opteron 242 1.6G - 461.00
Opteron 244 1.8G - 689.00
Opteron 246 BX - 790.00
Opteron 842 1.4G - 750.00 - 8 versions support 8 CPU motherboards!

How about having one of those 8 CPU setups folding away. :D
