And I wanted to know what do I cut and can I do it to my cpu, I've increased my voltage before by using a pencil, do they mean the same thing, or do I really have to cut something?

Thanks in advance!

It's a wide spread phenomenon. You're not the first or only person thinking it applies to old Durons even though it's right there at the beginning of the article:
"...these new Durons do come with 256K cache, and that AMD merely snips a bridge to knock out 192K of that."

That means strictly 1.4 GHz and up Applebred Durons, not old Durons.

Similarily Athlon XP is not Athlon XP is not Athlon XP is not Athlon XP.

They are in fact Palominos, Thoroughbred A's & B's and Bartons.
