Anybody using a ECS Photon PF1 mobo, what do you reckon?
I got talked into one by a retailer... Got it home, plugged in the new 2.4C and 250fsb/3000mhz instantly.
with a gig of TwinX Corsair 3200LL running at a ratio of 200/328 , which equals 250/410 at timings of 2,7,2,2 and DRAM 2..7V.
I think it will go further as the Corsair has run at 430 on a Giga board.
However the BIOS only allows up to 250fsb, while :http://www.ocworkbench.com/2003/ecs/pf1/pf1gallery3.htm
shows up to 350fsb! Need new BIOS, I guess
There is no Vcore adjustment on board!
Reading a few overseas reviews they rate well against P4P800 and IS7 but do not seem popular in Oz.
Currently installing XP , I will be interested to benchmark this board.
