How do I install this SOB?

Ok, so I bought a Maxtor 80 gig 7200 RPM 8mb cache hard drive to replace my dying SLOW WD 40 gig(filled with too much porn) and... I don't know how to install it. I managed to upgrade my system, but the hard drive is small, and the slot to fit it in is huge! I think I need some sort of mounting kit.... any info?

You need a mounting bracket to convert a 5.25 bay to 3.5. You can get one at almost any computer website. Try Crazypc or Newegg.

Well, from what it sounds like, you're thinking of putting a 3 1/2" drive into one of your 5 1/4" bays. The 5 1/4" bays were designed to hold CD drives and other large drives. Since a HD is normally 3 1/2", you'll need to install it in your other size drive bay.

You can find these bays hidden on the inside of your case at the front bottom. They're 'thinner' than the bays above them which are holding your CD drive, and are perfect for your new HD (in fact, your old HD should be in one of the bays there).

You can do that, or get some mounting brackets that make ur hdd fit into the 5.5 inch bay. You can get those at compusa also.
