Fx 5900 ultra problem please help

i have a pny 5900 ultra.. i downloaded the nvhardpage so i could udjust my clock freq. i put them on advanced 3d setyting which made my clock speeds 500 vga core and 900 vga memory aplied the settings and so forth.. went to 3d mark 2003 and it shows my clock speed at 900 vga memory which is the same but it shows it at 300 vga core instaed of 500- whats happening here ?

That's your 2D clockspeed, 3D# takes the inventory while you're still in 2D mode.

please excuse my ignorance when it comes to videao cards but is there anyway u could explain that to me in a little more detail.. and is there anything i can do to get the clock speed up where it is supposed to be or 8is that the right number ?

The FX5900 can in some cases reduce it's clock speed when not running 3D applications or code. I assume it has reduced it because it was only in the 2D desktop, so when 3Dmark analysed it it came up with the reduced clock speed. Don't count on 3Dmark's clock speed reporting - some CPUs show up as 8MHz :rolleyes:

The difference is in the benchmark score itself - compare the unoverclocked with the overclocked score and I think you will see an improvement
