I am asking because I hooked up an 80mm fan to one of my mobo fan power connectors and it made all my fans stop working and my cpu got D0 C/395 F what is that equal to in C? TRUE STORY!

I had a reading of 255 degrees C using cpucool software... dont ask me how .. I just looked , choked .... then lmao and uninstalled the software.

In computerese 255 is quite often the same as "I don't know/no reading". 2 to the eighth power is 256 (2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2) 0 being the first number 255 being the last.

So the temperature reading of 255 is saying "there is no temp senor hooked up".
