ok im gonna have another go at water cooling. this time im going to do it right and need some advice on what to get. im thinking about getting swiftec CPU and GPU blocks senn here (http://www.pccasegear.com/prod678.htm) and here (http://www.pccasegear.com/prod679.htm) are these any good? and ill get the Eheim 1048 pump and ill make a custom radiator cause they are too damn expensive to buy. and im gonna get this (http://www.pccasegear.com/prod904.htm) res. would all of these setup prperly be a decent water system ?my air cooling at present holds about 4c load and im hoping to get around 5-10c drop from that by using this water setup or am i dreaming? what other water blocks would be better than this swiftec?thanks

4C load?
I'd suggest a stronger pump if you plan on using multiple blocks. Got with the Eheim 1250 or a Danner Mag 3.
I wouldn't buy that res. The 3/8" barbs on it will choke your system - their actual internal diameter is even less than 3/8".
Your waterblock choices are okay. The Swiftech MCW-5002 might work slightly better, or you could step up to a Dtek White Water or Cascade for money. Since you live in Australia, the Cascade would be a good choice, becuase you'll save on shipping. :D
What do you mean by custom radiator? Heatercores work great, and are pretty cheap.

i was just gonna go down to the wreckers and get a heater core from a toyota camry cause i have heard they are almost the same as the black ice rads and are alot cheaper. oh and i meent 42c load :) what other res could i look into thats better than the one i was gonna get? i chose the Eheim 1048 cause i am kinda limited to $$$$ at the moment but if its gonna make a big difference i would go for a 1250. ill look into the cacade and white water blocks now and hopefully i can find them in australia

The Cascade is made by Cathar, who lives in Australia. Linky (http://www.employees.org/~slf/lrwb/)
The Camry core works great. I think newer ones are smaller than the ones from the late 80s. Linky (http://forums.overclockers.com.au/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49874) to a guide on using these cores at overclockers AU (worth registering for)
If you can find the Danner (or Pondmaster) Mag 3 in Australia, it will cost about the same as the 1048, and perform slightly better than the 1250.

sorry i meen 42c load.. the "2" on my keyboard is a little dodgy
MATA> my first attempt at water cooling was a failure i bought a cheap setup which was absolute crap at default speeds my CPU was 55c idle then my 2nd attempt i bought some better bits and was ok leaving me at 40c idle when overclocked but i left my PC running while i went to the shop doing pime95 and when i came back checked my temps and CPU was 87c and was rising fast ripped the power out and then realised my pump had died so there was no water moving :( and almost lost my CPU :( if i came home 2 minutes later it would have been too late. guess thats what i get for using cheap parts
