Can you mix pc2100 with pc2700

ok , ive got 256Mb of pc2100 and am going to buy another 256, but the pc2700 is actually cheaper, would there be any point in buying this and mixing the two?

Yes you can but you better set timings yourself or else it will be set to slower memory by SPD.
You can even use them in dual channel as long as they are equally capable and as long as you are the one seting the timings. Of course they should be able to have similar/thesame timings
