View Full Version : LinkSys now a division of Cisco?

I just found out the other day that LinkSys is a division of Cisco. I was browsing in Fry's Electronics and I saw the router and instead of the normal LinkSys printing on the left side, I just see Cisco's logo. How recent is this "news"?

I'd say you're about two/three months behind the times, or at least that's about how long ago I found out.

Would that be a good thing that Linksys is a division of Cisco? I have just bought a Linksys router.

i don't think it really matters... they are just owned by cisco, and if it did matter i would think its a good thing

I too just bought a linksys and I like Cisco so it should be all good.

Cisco is a top company when it comes to networking, so it's a very good thing that Cisco acquired LinkSys. They probably have a bit of influence over the design and operation of the produtcs, which makes it a good thing.
