Bridge blowing on new packaging

Does the bridge blowing (shorting) technique still work on the new AthlonXP with transparent packaging?

Yes it does but the process is slightly different. The bridges no longer connect to the little gold dots, they are instead buried below the surface. There are little brown bars between the dots and these are the bridges buried underneath one layer of the plastic coating. You have to use two pins and dig down to either end of the brown bit to blow the bridge.
