My frined just told me he went to babbages and pre ordered hl2, and it sbeing released for 2-2-04.

THIS AHD BETER NOT BE TRUE, TELL ME ITS NOT!

I kinda doubt it. Becaus then what was the point of releasing all this new info if the game wont be released until 5 months from now?

Well, CompUSA and EB Games are taking pre-orders for November 20th.

we can only hope after Gabe has dismissed the rumors of the delay and telling us that it WILL be out by the 30th was the truth....at least i really really REALLY hope it is :p

The only official release date is from valve and the last interview with them that I saw they still stressed a september 30th release date. Who knows it might be delayed after that, but no way in hell over 4 months. The fact is nobody knows for sure, all these companies are just guessing. So unless you hear something different from vavle I would ignore those release dates.

well there were a couple of interviews recently in which they addressed the realeas date delay rumors, and they said it would be close but it would be done. I believe them since they've said it like 3 times in the last month, but hey...we all know how these things work :rolleyes:

It mentiond on the radio up here in Norway that the date was early next year...

Only time will tell ;)

ehhhh unless they make an official announcement, we will not know until sept 23 if HL2 has been delayed or not. If it has not gone gold by then, chances are it will not be released by sept 30.....in other words, nobody knows.

The game sites have no idea. If valve told them, then you can bet that they would be reporting that news a few seconds after. SOMEONE would leak it.

Anyway, I think they're just doing that to mess with peoples heads....
