Can anyone access the Extreme overclocking stats?, I keep getting a page cannot be displayed in IE and a time out error in mozilla, i was just woundering if it is my connection or if the stats are down?

Yeah same here, it was working perfectly for me until last night. Hopefully it comes back soon. Can someone refresh me with some other stat sites?

According to the Extremeoverclocking forums, Jason the admin is out of town and this seems to happen every time he leaves town. It'll be back up in the next few days.

Is the stanford site updating? I haven't gotten any points since sometime last night, which seems odd considering I've got 27 machines running.

Stanford hasn't been updating like it should (1AM this morning last update) if EXOC stats were working it would be useless. Jason (the admin of exoc stats) is out of town also, so we will have to wait until he gets back to fix it.

EDIT: Stanford is slowly updating now, keep hitting reload, my WU count goes up everytime.

You can also manually fix the DNS for your machine in order to access www.statsman.org

It only requires editing one file as follows:

C:/WINNT/system32/drivers/etc/hosts

Open that with notepad. Add this line at the bottom:

208.170.149.150 statsman.org www.statsman.org

Save the file, and statsman should work.

I believe the drivers folder is hidden. You can either change your system to show hidden files, or you can use the search function and search for "hosts".

that site doens't refresh much. stanford has me 100WU's aheaf of that one. i'm at 936 on stanford after 6 months. that's like 30 WU's a week.

plus it puts me on page 3. i like being on page 2 mo betta.

I did that just the other night and it worked for less than a day.

Now you just get a page not found error.

They've changed from 208.170.149.150 to something else.

It works now but I like the direct Statsman team 32 link (http://statsman.ww-testsites.co.uk/folding2stats/html/32.html) better.

I like the look and functionability of the ExtremeOC rainbow by far the best but I use Stanford to get a quicker realtime status check between rainbow stats updates. I don't use Statsman much but it makes a good backup to the rainbow as it has more info than the Stanford stats page does. The Stanford individual stats are handy to see how many processors the competition has.

Eveyone who has passed me has had more processors. Wait until I get more folding power. Imagine a farm of several Biostar nVidia GF2 mobos running over 200fsb/2.2Gb :D

Bleh... as far as I know, I have MORE borged computers than anyone on the team... which by default makes me a better person... BUT, almost all of them are sub 1ghz so that doesn't help me like it should =p. Soooo... number of active processors doesn't tell the whole tale! I need rainbow stats!!!

The problem with borging is you have to know lots of open minded people who are willing to let you install the FAH client. Everyone I've approched so far said NO. They don't see the benefits and consider any background service, other than OS related ones, a virus.

Sooo.....

If I want red, I'll have to do it on my own.

If I'm ~850PPW with 3.7GHz of SSE goodness...

Then I'd need ~22GHz of quality SSE processing power.

So I'd have to invest almost $2k to do it.

It'll just have to proceed one layer at a time.

While I'm definitely 100% in shock from my EOC stats withdrawl, I'm somewhat getting used to the statsman page =p. Like... currently, I have a higher 1-day total than anyone on the team... and that makes me smile ^_^. However, I *totally* realize that the 3-hour refreshes give a much better indication of how I'm stacking up with my new rigs tee hee.

Heck, the way things are stacking up, 30k will be on page two in a couple of months. We'll need 50k and 1500PPW just to tread water on page one. Six months ago, you'd be on page one with 10k.

I remember I use to be on page one back in the day. I had about 6 comps running, but I didn't maintain them, and as they dropped, so did I. I didn't get back into it untill I was on page 3 :eek:.
