ran my 1gig 266 axia /y all week end at 1470 rc5 running in the back ground with out a hitch... sucecfull test..hmmm shut down sunday night ,start up tonight droped the clock back to 10x133 ...lockups tryed a couple of other settings more lockups... back to 10.5x140 same thing lockups.. but here`s the strange thing 10.5x136 works fine...go figure??

what do you guys think??

the only other thing i changed was memory timing back to cas 2 turbo (abit kt7a R)

Assuming that your memory was set slower before, it sounds like it can't handle the higher speed with the faster timings. That's my guess, anyway.

i changed the memory back to cas 2 after i swiched back to 10x133 ;D

That's the kind of weird behavior in the KT7A that give me pause. A couple of weeks ago, mine hated the even number and .5 multiplier increments. I though something had opened internally in my CPU. As mysteriously as it appeared, it went away. The lack of predictable results within the KT7A keep it in the good motherboard field instead of in the great. Just my humble opinion.

Hm...yes, rereading your post I find that really, it just doesn't make much sense. I kinda thought that you would have thought of that...especially since you mentioned it. Odd.

Sounds like whats happening to me somewhat, mine will do 1400 (140x10) and not 1333 (10x133) I got a KT7A-RAID as well. Doesn't make sense at all.

well after having several abit boards..

i can tell you they are just like the female of the species....

crankem hard and they will respond...

let up on them and they will kick you in the mouth...

but with an even hand ..... youll get just what you want... ;D
