I have 3 1 ghz 266 FSB AXIA CPU's.

Heres the thing, one of them, will make windows at 1333mhz sometimes, and when it does it is perfectly stable, but other times it won't make it at all!

The other one, will do 1370 mhz, (10x137) BUT it only does 1333 (10x133)half the time! it should do 1333 all the time since it is even a speced FSB speed!

The other one I have not done much testing on yet, but It didn't even wanna do 1266 (9.5x133) for me, but I betcha it will do something weird like 9x140!

IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THESE WEIRD PROBLEMS?

My system: Abit KT7A-RAID
Globalwin FOP-38 and Alpha PAL6035 with Ys-tech ( i use both of them and switch them all the time)
256 MB PC150 CAS2 mushkin RAM
Enermax 431W PSU

I've got 1 1333 and 2 1200's that wont do 1500 no matter what I do. They are all AXIA's. It's not a temp problem, ram problem, power supply problem, vid card problem, or anything else because I've replaced everything with good stuff and nothing has changed.

Well I don't mind that they can't do 1450+, my problem is, they will do 1400 (140x10) and not 1333 (133x10)! I've never seen this before, cause usaully, either a CPU will do say 1000 mhz or it won't... and then if it doesn't do 1000 mhz, i don't expect it to do 1050 mhz, but thats what these AXIAs are doing!

I'm wondering if there's some kind of instability with these KT7A boards.

i know its a lot of hassle, but why dont u try these cpus on a different board, for instance a asus or an epox to see if they still behave like this?

That would be the next step. Guess I'm gonna havta get an Iwill.

Relatively speaking, with 'C' birds, they do seem to be the most stable...162-168 FSBs are not uncommon.

I am not an Iwill zealot. I would have never considered one of their boards until February of this year...I've been very pleased with their performance.

I think i might go the Asus route.

Dont think it's just the raid boards, I'm having the same sort of problems, well cant really call them problems as they do what they're made for just fine, with my KT7A non raid board as well. It's just when you try to push them a bit, they dont seem to act the way I want. Don't know for sure cause all I have is Abit boards. Dont have anything to compare them to.
