I have just traded my 1.2 266 for a 1.33 266.
I want to know how to get to 1.5 steady and cool.
My system:
ASUS AV7133a Motherboard.
AMD K-7 1.33g 266 AXIA
GlobalWin WBK38 HSF with Artic Silver II Thermal Grease
generic PC133 256mb memory
Leadtec Geforce2 GTS 32mb Vid card w/6.50 drivers
Western Digital 10g 5400 UDMA 66 Hard drive
56x CD Rom
SB 16 soundcard
Netgear NIC card w/ADSL
.25 Mag monitor

Take out all your PCI and ISA cards. Keep nothing in a slot except your graphics. PCI/ISA cards just cause problems. Start with the CPU at the deafault speed and take the voltage down as far as you can but keep it stable. Its gonna get hot, so only give it more power if you can't get it to boot. try upping the FSB to as high as you can get it while it is stable. Give it only as much power as it needs. check your temps carefully and give 3DMark2001 a couple of runs to check stability. Then try upping the multiplier, 1/2 at a time get it as high as it goes stable. up the voltage as needed. You should get 1.5Gig at about 140x11(1540) or 135x11(1496)
Check that its unlocked first - unlock it if necessary
I upped the multiplier to 11, and started from there. Burned in at 1463, upped FSB slowly, and got to 1507(11x137) where it stays pretty stable at 1.8v. This is on an Iwill KK266. Also, you are probably going to want to consider some high-quality RAM if you want to maximize your results

Thanks, I am still waiting for my new HSF and Artic Silver II to get here.
I will try that though. I may only want to get to 1463. That may be good enough for me. :) I dont have the funds to get any more RAM. Wife has me sleeping with my PC now as it is, LOL!
