Air cooled using a Coolermaster DP5-6H51 CPU fan/big heatsink.

The temp at 1050mhz (10x105mhz fsb) at regular usage is 58 degrees C or 136 degrees F. (RAM is PC133, running at 140Mhz according to CMOS setup)

Voltage is set on my Asus A7V133 mobo as Jumpered at 1.75v, Asus Probe says I'm using 1.80v.

I really want to o/c the CPU to 1.3ghz (133mhz fsb) but as it stands, I'll be able to cook a 20 pound turkey in 10 minutes with this thing.

Room temperature is about 80 degrees F, or 90 degrees at the computer's location. :)

The case (full size ATX tower - about 3 feet tall) has ample space within for proper airflow. The case is closed to ensure air goes in and out in a specific direction. Two fans in front blow air into the case (bottom and top). Three in the back blow air out (middle, power supply, and top). The CPU fan blows air down onto the CPU itself.

I can only afford ~$100 in extra cooling equipment, but I'd rather spend no more money at all.

Most people say they can o/c their Athlons with air cooling and get it to remain at 45 degrees C (110 f?)

What can I do to help out the situation, no-$ solutions preferred but I will spend the money if I have to. Apart from "Waiting until winter comes then keep the windows open", of course! ;)

THANKS!!! :)

Buy a reconditioned window air conditioner. The best cooling solution inside your PC will not be able to do its job, when the temperature around the PC is as high as yours.

Are you using Asus Probe to monitor the temps too?
Asus Probe is notorious for reporting temps about 10C too high. (Mine did.)
To check whether this is true in your case:
1) read the temp with Asus Probe.
2) Reboot to bios and using the hardware monitor in bios read the temp.
If there is more than a degree or 2 difference Asus Probe is lying to you. I ditched Asus probe and uploaded Motherboard Monitor 5.05 and the bios and motherboard monitor give the same reading.

Hoots got the idea get some AC in that room, air cooling just isn't effective at those temps. Never mind the computer at 90F I would need a cooling solution for me :)

I also think a reconditioned a/c unit would be best solution. Not only will you PC greatly appreciate it, but you'll love sitting in front of it playing CS(or your favorite game) without the sticky kind of sweat...you'll still break out in a cold sweat when you realize it has become a one-on-one match with Kornelia...

Get a Thermo Engine with either stock fan or a delta 7000rpm fan...
I use Thermo engine with stock and my 1.2@1.41 runs at 30c idle & 52c 100% stress...
With the Delta it drops about 6c on both temps..

I'm running with a cool master too (lapped) on my 1 G TB and it does get warm (I have a Swiftech MC462-A on order) I lower my core from 1.75 to 1.7 and the temp dropped from 53 to 48 at full load.

I have exactly the same Cooler Master but I replaced the sissy fan with a Sanyo Denki, 80x80, 36.6cfm. At Idle, my 800mhz duron oced to 140x7.5=1050mhz is about 31C but the room temp is in mid 20. I think you need to worry about your room temp too.

Shnart, an aircooled 1050Ghz Athlon! What will they think of next.
