Getting over 900mhz

I have an Abit kt7 motherboard with 256 megs of ram and a duron 750. I can overclock up to 900mhz with no problem but when I try and push the cpu to 950 windows hangs on the startup. I have tried all different v core's and nothing has worked. the heat is low and everything runs fine if I boot into doss mode. Please let me know what u think

have you unlocked the multiplier correctly or just changing fsb?

900 Might be your limit, I have overclocked 5 Duron 750's. 3 of them have hit 950 mhz, and two have hit 1000 mhz. My friend has a 750 that maxes out at 900 mhz though , so yours might be a poor overclocking one like his.
