View Full Version : soldering L1 bridges...

do u think that soldering the L1 bridges would improve overclocking? ive heard loads of different things and im not really sure what to thikn. personally i think im gonna solder the L1 bridges as this will provide a very permanent connection.

I've done it on a Duron and a Tbird. I have 30 years of soldering experience, 10 doing SMD. My advice is don't do it. Even utilizing low temperature solder and being quick about it, you can damage the interconnecting material tha connects the surface traces to layers beneath them, rendering your multipliers intermittent during temperature transitions. I know, I almost lost the Tbird as a result of this. Use some form of conductive paint. Several options are around.

advice taken. thx. it seemd quite dangerous to me. ill just use conductive paint. thanks 4 saving me a cpu. ;)

and it really shouldn't make a difference at all any way.
