3DMARK01 Score Calculation

This may be old news to some of you, but I figured out the formula for the 3dmark01 score. Of course it is based on the 4 game tests fps values. You can use the formula to estimate how much your overall score will change based on changing the individual fps values for each of the game tests. Here is the formula:

Multiply the Car Chase Lo FPS by 9.82
Multiply the Car Chase Hi FPS by 19.50
Multiply the Dragothic Lo FPS by 10.10
Multiply the Dragothic Hi FPS by 20.26
Multiply the Lobby Lo FPS by 9.41
Multiply the Lobby Hi FPS by 21.41
Multiply the Nature FPS by 20.12
Then add up the 7 values you just calculated, and this is your estimated 3dmark01 score.

I have tried this formula on about 30-40 actual results and it appears to be very accurate. If you find that it does not work for your score, please let me know. I would be very curious to see why it did not work.

Here is an example using one of my scores:

Car Chase Lo: 232.1 * 9.82 = 2279.2
Car Chase Hi: 92.3 * 19.50 = 1799.9
Dragothic Lo: 260.4 * 10.10 = 2630.0
Dragothic Hi: 141.8*20.26 = 2872.9
Lobby Lo: 217.1 * 9.41 = 2042.9
Lobby Hi: 100.6 * 21.41 = 2153.8
Nature: 91.5 * 20.12 = 1841.0

Total = 2279.2 + 1799.9 + 2630.0 + 2872.9 + 2042.9 + 2153.8 + 1841.0 = 15620
My actual score was 15621.

In the readme file in the 3dmark2k1 directory you can find this:
3DMark score = (Game1LowDetail + Game2LowDetail + Game3LowDetail) * 10 + (Game1HighDetail + Game2HighDetail + Game3HighDetail + Game4) * 20 . This is the only and the original formula. ;)
